Paul Mobley

Paul Mobley's portraitures are absolutely inspiring (read: breathtaking).
asked yam and he said it was just purely magic of studio lights, good camera and maybe some digital touchups (or maybe even sans touchup!).
am bowled over..

Prints

for environmental design we have to do some form of visual merchandising project where we have to choose s shop in raffles city and come up with a form of advertising display without using their products or logo.
i chose Prints - the paper product store with good selection of printed patterns and vibrant colours.
opted to put their prints and colours scheme onto speech bubble balloons to be placed around the plaza of raffles city. speech bubbles because each print or colour relates a different meaning and message to different indviduals. imagine a world speaking in patterns and colours...

anw modeling is real tedious shit. took at least one and half day to complete the second model i built for this project. now i am reminded why i decided to forsake architecture..

youth olympics

assigned to do some logo and icon designs for youth olympics 2010 singapore.
all hype aside, this is my take on how to present singapore culture through the logos and icons.
trying to present a 'play' factor since it's youth, and so stikfas (made in singapore!) came to mind and toy modeling kit became a natural reaction.

presenting the final selection of icons and logo (though i still working on the logo):
rawr!

in case you cant read the icons: (from top left to right)
boxing, archery, swimming,
volleyball, basketball, table tennis,
fencing, bmx biking, gymnastics,
soccer, hockey, mountain biking.
