psst, come closer... tell you where i got my influence and inspirations for those shoes. other than the local shoe artist, adam's, website, was greatly inspired by the paranomic illustration by kozyndan.

it aint easy to be drawing paranomic illustration as you have to have very diversed and wild ideas but everything has to be restricted in a fixed setting.

white shoes get dirty that fast. hmph.. but shouldnt sneaker supposed to to be as tattled and dirty as possible? haha.

anyway think i should at least load some of the photos so that you guys are able to preview what i've done with the shoe! instead of making you peeps wait for my (yet!) another print advertisement. haha. but do anticipate that advert(:

drawn with pencil and lined over with oil-based marker. (look at blue circle to discover unerasable pencil markings..)

of course i had to test out the inks before i actually draw on it. imagine after spending so much time and keen eyesight only to find your patterns being smudge in rainwater. i'd cry myself to sleep that week i tell you :P.

Shoe design's out!

finally came up with the design for my white canvas shoes. spent 2 whole chinese new year's nights trying to complete the plannings and drawings. (this was supposedly to be my new years' shoes) wasnt easy ok. the surfaces are like soft and curved.. and yar, it aint easy to erase the mistakes done with pencil. thereafter used oil-based marked to go over the pencil lines. even tested out the waterproof-ness of the inks using pen, transparency markers and oil-based markers respectively.

this is like flabergastedly unbelieveable. picked up JUICE along the orchard streets (as usual) and it featured one portfolio website of which the artist decorates on canvas shoes. and it's not just flat printing but he actually draws on the canvas shoes. and it just looked convincingly like it's printed one the shoes. with such fine details somemore! check out his portfolio for yourselves:

Leggings for guys

New York Fashion week has just ended and one of the few talk-about topics is definitely the leggings crossover from female fashion to the male counterpart's. yes, you did not hear wrong, they are bringing leggings to a new high after it made a comeback in the female fashion late last year and it's predicted to be still hot for the early half of this year. Guys leggings might be the new skinny jeans! still waiting to get my hands one one of those skinnies. or maybe i should dig out my long johns from korea trip? lol..

Mad about MAAD

finally got the chance on friday to see where red dot museum really is located (few steps from tanjong pagar mrt station, only walked over after some interview with Kelvin at some tower around the place). and it's like really omg-fire-brigade-red lar. too bad there wasn't any MAAD (flea market that encourages 100% original products!) that day. but the place is really nicely disfigured by graffitti-ed walls, and the toilets have cemented sinks sia. can tahan the weight meh?

Canvas Shoe

Have the sudden urge to illustrate on canvas shoes these days. yes, the white schooling canvas shoes which most has stopped after leaving Secondary schools. wells, just trying out and see if the effects work well. will upload the photo once completed. :) those who have ideas on what to draw can give me ideas too! lol.
